Casa Picante is proud to be part of the El Picante family, bringing the bold and authentic flavours of Mexico to a convenient takeaway experience.
Our journey began in April 2012 when El Picante was founded with a passion for sharing authentic Mexican cuisine. Starting from a humble food trailer, we worked tirelessly to build a loyal customer base through quality food, friendly service, and a commitment to excellence. As demand continued to grow, El Picante evolved from a small counter-service operation into a thriving restaurant.
In December 2016, we proudly opened our first restaurant, welcoming up to 90 guests across two floors. Over the years, we built a strong reputation for serving fresh, authentic Mexican food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In February 2026, El Picante entered an exciting new chapter, transitioning from a full-service restaurant to a dedicated takeaway concept. This move allowed us to focus on delivering the same high-quality food our customers love, with greater convenience and efficiency for today's busy lifestyles.
Casa Picante is proudly operated by Alisha, daughter of founder Elly. Having grown up around the family business, Alisha shares the same passion for authentic Mexican cuisine and exceptional customer service. Working alongside her mother, she is committed to continuing the family tradition and ensuring every customer enjoys the very best Mexican food experience.
At the heart of our business is a passion for quality. Every dish is freshly prepared, with presentation, flavour, and hygiene standards being of the utmost importance. Led by Elly, who has over a decade of experience within the catering and hospitality industry, our team works alongside skilled Mexican chefs to create dishes that celebrate the rich traditions of Mexican cuisine while adding our own unique touch.
